We are seeking individuals who share our passion for great BBQ and will be ambassadors of the Famous Dave’s Brand. Prospective Franchise Owners should share our vision for providing an industry-leading product and understand the importance that exceptional service plays in the success of a business. We want to partner with Franchise Owners who are hungry to succeed, grow into multiple locations, become leaders in their communities and who will take pride in playing their part in building the best (and most fun!) brand of its kind.

8. Are There Ongoing Fees Paid?
Yes, Franchise Owners in the Famous Dave’s system contribute a monthly royalty of 5% of sales and 1% of your revenue goes toward marketing fees. The fee entitles you to continued use of the Famous Dave’s name and trademarks, access to our operating systems, new product development, ongoing business consulting and other benefits the come along with being in the Famous Dave’s family.
9. Where do Famous Dave's locations work best?
We have specific trade area dynamics that we follow in finding a successful location:
Regional retail corridor with regional mall, lifestyle center, and/or multiple retail centers
Strong anchor mix: Target, Kohl’s, Costco, Home Depot, Lowe’s, etc.
Presence of national casual dining brands in retail corridor
Movie Theater (multi-screen with first-run movies)
University or College campus within 5 miles
Hospital or healthcare corridor within 5 miles
Office/business park within 5-miles
10. How long will it take to open my first store?
There are a number of variables here, including type of store, the length of the lease negotiation process and permitting processes, but on average it takes about 9 to 12 months from the date of franchise awarded to doors open.
11. How many employees will I need to run my restaurant?
Depending on the volume and model, Franchise Owners will need 30 to 60 employees. Team members with some full service or casual dining experience is a plus, but not a requirement. The team is built out with Hosts/Hostesses, to-go service, servers, bartenders, catering team members, dishwasher/utility team members, prep cooks, and line cooks.
